17-20/04 Seminario di Parigi 2008

JEF France organises its traditionnal European Seminar in cooperation with its German and Italian counterparts. Young people from other countries are invited as well. To raise the awareness of citizens for the transnational character of the European debate, JEF would like to facilitate the discussion of young people from different national backgrounds, among themselves, but also with citizens of Paris and MEPs.

This exchange should enable to revive the construction of a Europe of citizens by supporting the discussions between young people of different nationalities and the citizens of Paris.

This seminar will take place two months before the French Presidency of the EU Council, thus we will debate with politicians and with youth political parties as well.

Participation conditions

The participation fees are

- 35 Euro for 3 nights,

- 30 Euro for 2 nights,

- 25 Euro for 1 night

- 20 without accommodation.

It includes accommodation and all the meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) from the dinner of 17^th April to the lunch of 20^th April 2008 included. The participation fees have to be paid by French cheque or in cash at the beginning of the seminar.

The participation of non-members will be possible within availability. Non-members will have to pay 15 Euro in addition to the normal participation fees.

Travel reimbursements

Travel reimbursement is provided by JEF-France (exception: Italian participants will be reimbursed by JEF Italy), up to a maximum of 150 Euro, per reimbursment, to cover 70% of a second class return train ticket (for French participants carte 12-25 or billets prem’s), or an economy flight ticket. Reimbursement will be given after you sent us your original tickets (and boarding cards) within one month.

JEF-France’s members shall be reimbursed by cheque.

All other participants will be reimbursed by bank transfer. Please indicate your international bank account number (IBAN and BIC)

Working language

A good working knowledge of English and a passive knowledge of French are expected ( Please note that during public conferences, speakers will speak in French).
